Handi-Quilter:
We offer classes on our Handi-Quilter long arm machine
for $50 an hour, after which you are qualified to
rent it to do your own quilts on it! The rental fee
is $20 per hour. We have taught over 100 people to
quilt on this user-friendly machine. Please call ahead
to schedule a class.

(Class Policy: Payment due at time of registration. Full refund if cancelled one week before class. For most classes, basic sewing supplies and a sewing machine are needed.)
February 4, First Thursday Quilters - 6:30pm to 8:30 pm - Open to all! The store is open late too!
February 6, Saturday, 10:00 to 1:00 - Demo of the Prairie Point Ruler: a neat way to add a fancy border or edge!
February 6, 12:00 to 3:00 - Beginning Quilting Class, $25
Learn the basics of rotary cutting, 1/4" seam allowances, and basic piecing.
Supplies: Rotary cutter and 6" x 24" ruler, sewing machine, thread, scissors, two contrasting fat quarters or regular quarters.

February 10-12 - Mermaid Doll Class with Martha Dudley - $200 - Learn beading, embellishing, hair styles and more! See our website for picture and additional description.
February 13, Saturday, 10:00 to 1:00 - Thread demo by our own, Sulky-certified Carol Stanek - Learn what thread to use when, and how to enhance your quilts with special threads.
February 16, Tuesday, 10:00 to 2:00, $25 - Realistic Animal Appliqué with Jennifer McCann. She will use her White Rhino pattern to show the technique of creating a dimensional and beautiful animal. This is based on Sharon Malec's method, and we will have many of Sharon’s patterns (including cats and dogs) that you can also choose from for the class if you wish. Sample is on display at the shop. Jennifer will give you lots of tips on how to create your own realistic animal! Fabulous!
February 17, Wednesday, 10:00 to 2:00, $25, Paper piecing with Jennifer McCann. Learn basic paper piecing to make a beautiful Spring Wreath.
With her guidance, tips and tricks, paper piecing is enjoyable! Samples are on display at the shop.
February 18- 20 - Long Arm Quilt Intensive with Jennifer McCann. This session is already full, but another one will be offered soon.
February 24, Wednesday, 10:00 - 1:00, Journal Cover, $25.
In this workshop you will learn how to make a fabric journal cover, complete with a pocket to hold pencils and pens! With 3 fat quarters you can cover a
9 ½" x 7 ¾" composition notebook. Taught by Rebecca Reasons-Edwards.

April 8 - 11 - Thursday - Sunday - Gourmet Garden Party Retreat at the beautiful Dillard House. For $425, all meals and lodging are included, as well as instruction to make the Garden quilt. Or, you can just use the time and place for a fun getaway and uninterrupted sewing time on projects of your own choice! Deposit is due February 15, but please call earlier if you are interested, to let us know to hold a place for you!

1 Million Pillowcase Challenge
We will be taking part in this program by American Patchwork and Quilting that challenges you to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference!
