Gourmet Garden Party Retreat

Red Hen Fabrics is planning a Stash Busting Scrap Swap in the North Georgia Mountains. Join us to create your version of the fabulous 2007 Red Hen Shop Hop Quilt. Enjoy the scenery of early spring at the Dillard House in Dillard, Georgia--just 2 hours northeast of Atlanta--in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Indulge your taste buds with the famous Dillard House food. And best of all, relax and sew with friends.
After a fabulous buffet in the conference room Thursday evening, we will begin creating the fast, fun, fusible garden quilt. Did I forget to mention the dessert buffet following the dinner buffet? We can snack while we sew until 2:00 am Friday morning. If you need to sleep, the rooms have 2 queen beds, a small refrigerator, as well as a coffee maker. Early risers can begin sewing at 6:00 am, with a breakfast buffet around 7:00 am. Lunch each day will be in the main dining room; after all, we must be sociable.
Need a break from sewing? Pick a rocker on the gallery and enjoy the view. Take a walk around the property or around the gardens. Or shop in the Dillard House store for unique homemade seasonal items.
After two full days and one evening of sewing, Sunday morning should find you finished with the Garden Party quilt-at least the fusing. If you need a bit more time, you can stay in the conference room until 3:00 pm.
No expensive quilt kit is necessary. The sky and earth background fabrics will be provided and you bring your scraps-bring lots to share and swap.
So what is the cost for these sumptuous meals, fabulous scenery, comfortable rooms, and the hours of uninterrupted sewing? Only $425 covers all expenses for the Thursday through Sunday stay with two lunches, three dinners, and three breakfasts and access to the conference room from 6:00 am until 2:00 am.

A deposit of $200 is due by February 15, 2010, with the final payment of $225 due by March 15, 2010. When final payment is made, you will receive a card entitling you to 10% off purchases for 30 days. A supply list will be provided when you pay your deposit. If you don't want to make the Garden Party Quilt, feel free to bring your own project; just join us for the fun.
